You can package your product/service in the most eye-catching way and mark it with a striking logo. But ultimately—unless total automation is your goal—your customers need to talk to someone. If that’s you, then you know your strengths or weaknesses in terms of communication, delivery and persuasiveness. BUT!!! If you’re not good at these, or if someone else in your organization is better, then pass the baton. Sometimes, the brain behind a product is not the best messenger to deliver it to the world. Ouch, you may say, but in the big scheme of things, it’s always best to delegate what you don’t do well so you can spend your time doing what you do do well. Let the engaging marketing rep put masterful communication magic to good use. You all benefit when the person spreading the word is spreading it well.
